PRESENTS THE NEW PULEVA CAMPAIGN AT THE VOLVO OCEAN RACE
The actress, the face of PULEVA Calcium for almost a decade now, plays
four different parts in the brand's new interactive campaign.

Rueda participated in the
presentation which took place in Alicante Port Village,
host town that will start the
Xth
Edition of the Volvo Ocean Race,
the main open seas sailing championship in the world.
PULEVA is one of the main sponsors of Alicante 2008-2009. The reasons
why the company sponsors a sporting event of this magnitude are fruit
of the strong commitment of PULEVA to the promotion of a healthier life
through encouraging the practice of sports together with an adequate
diet, for all sections of the population.
For Gregorio Jiménez, Director General of PULEVA,
“it is a source of great satisfaction to support and sponsor
one of the most important sailing events in the world”. He
adds that “Alicante, as well as being a benchmark in sports
on the back of this sporting event, is for PULEVA a strategic
point for the distribution of our products, as they are very well
received amongst the residents of Alicante.”
For her part, Arantxa Vallés, Managing Director of the
Societat de Promoció Estratègica de la Comunitat
Valenciana, pointed out that “the sponsors are a fundamental
part of any event. The Generalitat started the Alicante 2008 project,
Port of Departure for the Volvo Ocean Race, thinking of all the
citizens, improving infrastructures, providing leisure and cultural
opportunities, and
through sponsorships, sponsors like PULEVA make these type of projects
possible, and return to society the benefits they gain from
it.”.
Belén Rueda, face of the brand since 1999, has been
the protagonist of this event. The actress is once again the
face of the latest PULEVA Calcium campaign, which represents
an innovative way of advertising. It consists of an interactive
campaign in which, by SMS, telephone or the website
www.pulevaybelenrueda.es,
consumers are given the opportunity to choose between four different
"action film" stories for the next short in which
Belén Rueda is to star.
The actress will be the lovely, public face of the company in order to
convey to the populace the importance of looking after one's
diet and living a healthier life. In one of the shorts,
Belén Rueda plays the part of a singer, which represents her
first musical foray.
“This year my relationship with PULEVA is very special: as
well as inviting me to participate in an event of this magnitude, I
have played various roles in the new PULEVA CALCIUM campaign and in one
of them I have even had the experience of singing, something very
satisfying and a lot of fun", commented Belén Rueda during
the presentation.
PULEVA has chosen the town of Alicante and the framework of the Volvo
Ocean Race to present their new campaign as they represent the icons
that play a part in all of the PULEVA Calcium ads: the sea and
the boat, always there next to Belén Rueda,
as symbols
of the conquering spirit of the company.
