THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY RECOGNISES PULEVASALUD (PULEVAHEALTH) AS ONE OF THE BEST WEBSITES OF THE LAST 20 YEARS.

PULEVAsalud (www.pulevasalud.es) has received new recognition for its work in the promotion and diffusion of healthy lifestyle habits over the internet. On this occasion, Red.es, an entity which forms part of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, evaluated from amongst all the candidatures received, the quality, media impact, number of followers and the trajectories of the websites of those institutions, companies or associations who presented their candidature using the .es domain.


Madrid, 19 of November 2009The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday evening in the Municipal Exhibition and Conference Centre of Madrid, in the Campo de las Naciones, within the framework of the third edition of FICOD 2009 (International Digital Content Forum), which enjoyed the presence of top class international companies and speakers.

The purpose of these awards is to recognise the efforts of both the individuals and companies who have built and maintained these websites over the last 20 years.  Accessibility, innovation, representation and even creativity are some of the criteria the jury, presided over by the Director General of red.es, Sebastián Muriel, have borne in mind when evaluating the almost 100 websites that took part in this competition.

In total, 20 websites were recognised, amongst which were sites such as www.cocacola.es, www.nestle-tv.es, www.rtve.es, and www.elmundo.es.

PULEVAsalud (www.pulevasalud.es) has spent more than 8 years working for the wellbeing of the population and has the backing of the principal Spanish Medical Societies.  It freely provides thousands of articles and extensive content oriented towards health prevention and improvement.

One of its most recent initiatives has been the launch of an interactive digital magazine, free and issued monthly, which can be downloaded in PDF free of charge.

PULEVA Salud, more than 8 years promoting healthy lifestyle habits

PULEVAsalud (www.pulevasalud.es) is a health, nutrition and wellbeing portal driven by PULEVA, in collaboration with the principal Spanish Medical Societies.  Since its launch in 2001, PULEVAsalud has become a worldwide benchmark in matters of health and nutrition on the Internet.

With more than 6 million visits each year, its contents have won the loyalty of users and the recognition of companies and institutions within the new Technologies sector (such as Yahoo! Spain, which recognised PULEVAsalud as the best Spanish health portal); or the Junta de Andalucia (Regional Government who recognised the work of the company in technological development); the healthcare sector (the case of FHOEMO, who recognised PULEVAsalud for its informative work on the subject of osteoporosis); the journalistic arena (for the daily Ideal de Granada newspaper it is the best website to come out of Granada); as well as in fields directly related to the Internet (such as its special mention at the AUI awards of 2006, with pulevasalud.es being one of the finalists in the best company category).
