OVER 400 CHILDREN ATTEND THE AWARDS CEREMONY OF THE 1ST PULEVA MILKSHAKES MUSICAL CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION


Paloma Lago hosted the event, which saw primary and secondary students from 13 different schools across Spain come together

More than 260 schools signed up for this first edition of the competition, which began last May and drew to a close on 15th of June.

Madrid, 29th of June of 2010.This morning, at the Warner Park in Madrid, the awards ceremony for the 1st National Musical Choreography Competition took place, organised by PULEVA Milkshakes, through its website www.batidospuleva.es, attended by over 400 children from 13 different schools across Spain.

More than 260 schools from all over Spain took part in this first edition.  During the month of the competition, the participants up-loaded more than 200 videos and the PULEVA Milkshakes website registered over 2 million pages viewed and close to 450.000 visits, from more than 130 Spanish towns and cities.


Awards ceremony in Madrid

The awards ceremony was hosted by the popular television presenter Paloma Lago, who presented the ceremony together with the PULEVA Milkshakes mascot and other Warner Park mascots.


In the “Schools” category, the first 10 classified schools received a digital blackboard and projector:

1º.-C.E.I.P Tucci, from Martos, Jaén. The choreography was played 21.191 times.
2º.- C.R.A Cedrillas, from Cedrillas, Teruel. The choreography was played 20.154 times.
3º.- Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, from Terrassa, Barcelona. The choreography was played 19.928 times.
4º.- C.P. César Manrique, from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The choreography was played 19.660 times.
5º.- Colegio La Purísima, from Jaén. The choreography was played 18.233 times.
6º.- Colegio La Salle Comtal, from Barcelona. The choreography was played 18.233 times.
7º.- Colegio Sagrada Familia, from Badajoz. The choreography was played 16.617 times.
8º.- I.E.S. Duque de Rivas, from Córdoba. The choreography was played 15.668 times.
9º.- I.E.S. Leonardo Da Vinci, from Puertollano, Ciudad Real. The choreography was played 14.074 times.
10º.- C.P. Doña Mencía de Velasco, from Briviesca, Burgos. The choreography was played 13.659 times.

In the “Classes” category, the children from the winning classroom, a representation of primary students from the Colegio Tucci, in Martos, in the province of Jaén, each received a PSP and a batch of PULEVA milkshakes.

Students from the classes who occupied second to tenth places also received a batch of PULEVA milkshakes:
2nd place: 5th grade students from Colegio César Manrique, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
3rd place: Primary students from Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, in Terrassa, in the province of Barcelona.
4th position:  4th, 5th and 6th grade students from Colegio Sagrada Familia, in Badajoz.
5th position: Students of 2C from the Instituto de Educación Secundaria Duque de Rivas, in Córdoba.
6th position: Students of 1A from the Instituto de Educación Secundaria Leonardo Da Vinci, in Puertollano, Ciudad Real.
7th position: 3rd grade students from the Colegio Santa María Micaela in Granada.
8th position: Primary students from the Colegio Santiago Apóstol, in Grañén, Huesca.
9th position: Primary students from the Colegio Cedrillas, in Cedrillas, in the province of Teruel.
10th position: 2nd and 3rd grade primary students from the Colegio Nuestra Señora del Pilar, in Zaragoza.

The Director General of PULEVA, Gregorio Jiménez, attended the awards ceremony, together with the PULEVA Deputy Director General for Markets, Diego Puerta, who were accompanied by the Director General of the Warner Park, José Asenjo Vera, and the SONY Marketing Director, Jorge Hudget, to hand out the prizes to the students and representatives of the winning schools.

According to Gregorio Jiménez, “with this initiative, at PULEVA Milkshakes we seek to encourage teamwork and the development of values through music”.  In addition, he added that “the competition has presented a great opportunity for the teaching team to work in a more fun and entertaining manner with the students”.
